Sunday walk

I had another outing with the Gay Outdoor Club on Sunday. We had a very enjoyable stroll round Bow Brickhill and the weather stayed sunny. Can't be bad. I have volunteered to lead a walk round Wendover in May, so I should get planning or on my past performance of leading walks I will be dashing round the route on the Saturday before!

Boat update

Well it is making slow progress. The sides should be arriving today after Corus steel folded the gunnel wrong! So at present I have a 60foot surf board, quite useful having seen the height and flow of the Oxford canal on Saturday. So Steve, the builder, reckons he is now 10 days behind, but has another build to start in March so is still hoping to finish by the end of February! We will see.

Excellent weekend

Well a really good if slightly busy weekend.
Went and visited Mum on Saturday, made a start on tidying the garage, so if someone would like a portable MIG-mate welder, or one of three sets of axle stands, do get in touch. Good time with Mum and nice to catch-up again.

Popped-in to visit Judy and John in the afternoon, caught up on all the news and gossip. I am very fortunate to have so many supportive friends like John and Judy who have stood by me over the last couple of years.

Saturday evening I went to a concert by Aylesbury Festival Choir. They where performing The Seasons by Haydn. A really good performance and very much enjoyed by everyone there I feel.

Sunday. I went to my first NLP conference. It was held at Regents Park College. A very interesting experience and I will add some more about NLP another time, but work calls and I must prepare for a meeting about moving to Windows.

Boat news!!

Well the big news is I have a base plate down! There are photo's in the gallery of various piles of steel and the first weld! Now all I need is the sides to arrive which are currently in Banbury but they are due to arrive today or tomorrow. I am planning another visit in a couple of weeks so hopefully some more pictures then.

I heard this poem by Sheena Pugh on Good Morning Sunday on Radio 2. I like positive statements and this certainly is that.

Just watched Billy Elliot again. Wonderful film. I will never get bored with this film.

Another new toy!

Well as the previous post was from my mobile you might guess I have a new one. Upgraded to a new Smartphone, the C600. Lots of nice features and the screen is amazing. Now all I need is a 2GB memory card so I can get some music on it and a Tomtom GPS and I'll be set.

New Toy!

I bought a new mouse over the weekend. Not a major event for some people I realise, but I do like toys and this one caught my eye.

It is a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser 6000! Rather a mouthful just for a mouse I know but a delightful little mouse it is. It comes in silver grey so it matches the laptop, this is important! Four way scrolling and zoom. Best of all it works on white surfaces so it works on the desk in the office.
