I have a shower

Well it has taken a while, but finally I have a working shower. There is still a good deal of work in the rest of the bathroom and the fall from the shower waste to the pump is only just sufficient so I will need to raise the tray before too long to improve things. On with tiling for the next few evenings and then I need to decide on the floor covering. I have to admit it was very nice not having to run across the back garden of where I am moored to get a shower this morning and I will really appreciate it the first day it is raining!

Bathroom tiles

A really good weekends progress. The shower cubicle has tiles on all three walls, floor to ceiling, the shower is plumbed in and the tray is inplace. Now all I have to do is wait for the adhesive to dry and I can start grouting, another diy first. As this is my first attempt at tiling I have to say I am rather pleased, the only bit that really needs some more work is round the shower taps. So home via Wickes to get another box of tiles, downside of walking everywhere is I can only get one box at a time, Then on with tiling and yes I am finding it as boring as everyone told me I would and there isn't space to swing even a small cat.

Well at last I have put the first tiles up in the bathroom. All five of them, but it is a start!

Almost a bathroom and other bits

Too long again between posts! I have uploaded some pictures over the last couple of weekends to show progress and now time for a few words. The bathroom is slowly making progress and the plan is to stop at Wickes on the way home and pick up some tiles and weather permitting, as I need to cut some wood and it has to happen outside now, I hope to start the tiling this week.

Saturday afternoon was a big rehearsal for the Gay Chorus at the end of June. The show is coming together really well. Sunday I went along to the boat show at Beale Park, not quite on the scale of Crick, but worth a couple of hours. I did meet a man who was very passionate about batteries! It has got me thinking a bit more about what I do about power. Well the sun is shining and I have been spending to much time in the office recently so time to get home.
